(500) Days of Summer is a 2009 American comedy-drama film written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, directed by Marc Webb, produced by Mark Waters, and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. The film employs a nonlinear narrative structure, with the story based upon its male protagonist and his memories of a failed relationship.The film received the 2009 Satellite Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Independent Spirit Award for Best Screenplay as well as nominations at the 67th Golden Globe Awards for Best Picture and Best Actor.
